Might Lions and parents are invited to our PTA Movie Night on Friday, January 20. We will be featuring The Secret Life of Pets, an animated film perfect for the whole family.

Next Monday, January 16th, there will be no school in observance of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.

The Monroe Spirit of the Holidays Show will take place on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. There will be two performances. The first performance will be especially for the families of TK and Kinder students and will begin at 8 am. The second performance will be for the families of 1st-5th graders and will begin promptly at 9:30 am. The show is expected to be approximately one hour long. A full house is expected at each performance and for this reason all strollers must be left outside of our cafeteria and guests will not be allowed to save seats. To aid with the parking situation, please walk or carpool to the performances. Please allow enough time to park, then walk from your car and be seated.

Our Winter Wonderland Shop, sponsored by our PTA, opens Monday and Tuesday, December 12 and 13. On these two days, the store will be open for students only. Parents, students, and guests can shop on Wednesday and Thursday, December 14 and 15.

On Monday, December 12 at 8:15 AM we will have our Coffee with the Principal where parents will learn about cyber safety and your child’s digital fingerprint in the cyberspace. Following that meeting, we will have our ELAC meeting and parents will learn about reclassification and our ELD program.

META meeting for parents of Dual Immersion program students will be held from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM next Thursday, December 8, in the cafeteria. Light snacks and day care will be provided.

This Thursday, December 1, all Mighty Monroe Lions are invited to participate in the Monrovia Holiday Parade. We will meet on West Chestnut at 6:30 PM. Parents must accompany their students along the parade route.

All Mighty Lions are encouraged to wear your color (Red A-L and Blue M-Z) to show school spirit.
