Monroe parents may pick up the items they purchased through the Fall Fundraiser between 5 pm and 7 pm next Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the School Cafeteria. Due to the lack of storage places, any items which are not picked up that evening will be returned to the vendor. Parents, please remember to pick up your items on time and enjoy!

The Fictional Character Costume Parade will be held on October 31. Parents and family members are welcome. Recognition will be given to the students who wear the most original costume, the funniest costume, and the best character from a fairy tale costume.

The Mighty Lions Running Club will begin Monday, October 3. Participating students will gather at 7:30 am on the field. Please wear running shoes and bring an extra pair of socks. To make our Running Club more efficient, donations of money or gift cards to Best Buy for the purchase of the two tablets are greatly appreciated. Donated tablets are required to have an Android operation system of 4.0 or above.

The Wonderfully Wicked Read-a-thorn begins on Saturday, October 1. Students are encouraged to read each day during the month of October. The top three readers in each grade level will receive special prizes. The top reader in each grade will be the Principal for the Day.

This week Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held every day. Students will be released at 12:40 PM from September 26 to September 30.

The Book Fair will be open at the following times from September 26 to September 30:

7:30 AM - 8 AM
9:45 AM -10:30 AM
11 AM - 12:30 PM
12:40 PM - 2 PM

In addition, the Book Fair will be open from 5 PM to 6:30 PM on Thursday, September 29.
