Monroe FIRST Lego League Robotics Pilot Program is for 3rd to 5th grade students. If interested, please complete the application form and return to School Office by Friday, January 18, 2019.

We will begin to register new families on Monday, January 7, 2019 with the exception of new dual families who must first attend a tour. Our first dual tour is scheduled for January 10 at 8:00 AM. RSVP is required.

As we close the year 2018, we do so on a high-note celebrating the academic achievement of the students at Monroe! The Monroe Elementary School Learning Community shines as a top school in the state of California and in the City of Monrovia. As a means of sharing the spirit of celebration, on Friday, December 21st, we will have a friendly class competition. A runner will come to each classroom and count the number of people dressed in GREEN.. All shades of GREEN will count! The class with the highest percentage of students and teacher(s) dressed in green will earn an Ice Cream Sunday Bar. The Ice Cream Sunday Bar will be on Friday, January 11, 2019, 12:30pm - 1:00pm.

We will continue to focus our efforts on improving the daily student attendance at Monroe---chronic absenteeism.

The first show will begin at 8 AM and the 2nd at 12:50 PM. This year you can choose to attend the show that is the most convenient for you. Please read the parking signs carefully as Thursday is street sweeping day.
